Moniek Hofland

A divorce is sometimes unavoidable and seldom comes without a personal loss, especially if you have children together. That is why their interests play a major part in family law. I will help you divorce respectfully and shape your life after the divorce. For that purpose I will give you practical advice on how to maintain control of your own life. This advice will touch all aspects of your life, from appropriate alimony arrangements to a parenting plan if you have children for whom you are responsible. And if necessary I will also hold up a mirror: what can you do to speed up the process? Have you thought your actions through? Have you taken all consequences into account?

Working with clients and getting things done that at first seemed impossible, that is my ultimate satisfaction. Finding a new home, for instance. Or the good conversation you managed to have with your future ex-partner. However great or small these victories may be, they are openings for new happiness. And to me that’s something wonderful to achieve together. I am genuinely happy for someone if I see a person regaining strength and opening up to happiness after a divorce.

I am a connector, not just a reader of dossiers. I will create a pleasant and open atmosphere in conversations so that you feel comfortable and I can really get to know you. I like to know what your concerns are, how the children are doing, and where you really need some help. My goal is to support you in such a way that your awkward situation is changed into a manageable situation with a new perspective. I do so as a lawyer and as a person. If that is the result, my mission is accomplished.
